The Arlington Middle School Performing Arts programs won big this past weekend at the Music in the Park competition in Atlanta, Georgia!

The AMS Band, Strings, and Choir programs all performed beautifully and received Superior ratings. Additionally, the Symphonic Band won Grand Champion as the best overall concert band.

"All our musicians performed against heavy competition in each discipline," said AMS Band Director Daniel Foster. "We are extremely proud of our AMS performing artists for both their hard work and wonderful accomplishments!"

Schools at the contest ranged from Louisiana to Virginia and even included six high schools. After performing, the AMS students enjoyed a thrilling Saturday in the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park riding roller coasters with their friends.

The AMS Orchestra is led by Cody Price, and the AMS Choir is led by Jeffrey Ivey.
