Welcome, ACS Families!

It is an absolute honor to step into the role of superintendent for Arlington Community Schools, a district that holds such a special place in my heart – and in my family’s story. Arlington is more than just the community where I work; it’s the place I chose for my child and our home. Years ago, I made the decision to move my son from a private elementary school to Donelson Elementary, and it has been one of the best choices I’ve made as a parent. Watching him grow up through the halls of Donelson Elementary, Arlington Middle and Arlington High has given me a unique perspective on the incredible impact ACS has on our students and families.

As both a parent and an educator, I know firsthand how ACS shapes the lives of our children, and it’s with that same love and commitment that I approach my duties as a superintendent. My journey with ACS began over a decade ago as the principal of Arlington Middle School. Leading AMS was an amazing experience, and it deepened my understanding of what makes Arlington special: our people. For ten years, I was privileged to work alongside exceptional teachers, staff, and students who strived every day to be their best. I then transitioned to Chief of Human Resources, where my focus was on building strong, dedicated teams who are passionate about supporting our students.

Throughout my career, I’ve always measured decisions by what I call the “Momma Test” – if I’d trust someone to teach and care for my own child, I know they’ll do right by every child in our district. That belief has guided me through every decision I’ve made as an educator and leader, and it will continue to guide me as superintendent. My number one priority is making sure that every family feels supported, every student feels seen, and every employee feels valued.

As a mother of a soon-to-be ACS graduate (Class of 2025!), I’m reminded every day of how important it is to provide not just academic opportunities but well-rounded, enriching experiences that help our children grow into confident, compassionate adults. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this school family and to have the opportunity to serve as your school community superintendent. Together, we are going to build on the strong foundation that makes Arlington Community Schools the incredible place it is.

Thank you for welcoming me and for continuing to be part of the ACS family. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together. I’m proud of the part of the A-Team!
