Brian Sedory named September Patriot Bank Student of the Month

Congratulations to Brian Sedory for being named the Patriot Bank Student of the Month for September! Brian was selected by the Arlington High School Physical Education Department for exemplifying the tenants of the Portrait of an ACS Graduate, which includes Communicate Effectively, Collaborate Intentionally, Cultivate Creativity, Be Resilient and Lead with Empathy. Here's what teachers had to say about Brian:
Through dedication, kindness, and a commitment to growth, Brian consistently demonstrates the qualities of a Portrait of a Graduate. Whether in physical education class, during athletic activities, or in the wider school community, Brian approaches each opportunity with purpose and a positive attitude.
As a collaborator and communicator, Brian Sedory helps create an environment where others feel valued and included. During team games, cooperative drills, and group fitness activities, Brian Sedory listened respectfully, contributed meaningful ideas, and helped the group remain focused. Brian Sedory also demonstrates creativity and leadership by encouraging teammates, modeling skills, and showing initiative during athletic activities, using positive sportsmanship to turn ideas into positive action.
Most importantly, Brian Sedory reflects strong character and citizenship through sportsmanship, responsibility, and teamwork. Through encouraging classmates, respecting opponents, including others in activities, and taking care of physical education equipment, Brian has made a meaningful difference for classmates and the school community. These actions show integrity, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
The Patriot Bank Student of the Month program recognizes one student in the months of September - April. One of those eight students will then be selected for a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Patriot Bank.
