Peyton Smith named September Patriot Bank Student of the Month

Congratulations to Peyton Smith for being named the Patriot Bank Student of the Month for September! Peyton was selected by the Arlington High School Math Department for exemplifying the tenants of the Portrait of an ACS Graduate, which includes Communicate Effectively, Collaborate Intentionally, Cultivate Creativity, Be Resilient and Lead with Empathy. Here's what the selection committee had to say about Peyton:

Peyton is a wonderful example of the Portrait of an ACS Graduate. Her love for learning and her positive spirit shine in everything she does.

Her ability to Communicate Effectively is one of the many reasons she stands out. This year, she took on the incredible challenge of enrolling in both AP Calculus and Dual Enrollment College Algebra—by choice—simply because, in her words, “I just like math.” Her genuine curiosity, hard work, and enthusiasm for learning make her an inspiration to everyone around her.

Peyton also shows what it means to Be Resilient as she works toward her goals. She plans to study Kinesiology in college and pursue a career in the medical field. Her drive, focus, and determination to reach her dreams are truly admirable.

Beyond her academic accomplishments, Peyton continues to Lead with Empathy. She is kind, generous, and always willing to lend a hand to her classmates. Whether it’s explaining a problem or offering words of encouragement, she helps create a classroom environment filled with support and respect.

We are so proud of Peyton for her hard work, kindness, and dedication. She is a true role model who embodies the heart of our school community, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will achieve!

The Patriot Bank Student of the Month program recognizes one student in the months of September - April. One of those eight students will then be selected for a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Patriot Bank.
