Daniel Dermyer named December Patriot Bank Student of the Month

Congratulations to Daniel Dermyer for being named the Patriot Bank Student of the Month for December! Daniel was selected by the Arlington High School P.E. Department for exemplifying the tenants of the Portrait of an ACS Graduate, which includes Communicate Effectively, Collaborate Intentionally, Cultivate Creativity, Be Resilient and Lead with Empathy. Here's what teachers had to say about Daniel:

"Daniel is an exemplary student who was selected for this recognition due to his well‑rounded contributions to school life and well‑being. He consistently maintains high grades across subjects through steady effort and strong study habits, participates actively in class discussions and completes assignments on time while seeking clarification when needed. Daniel models outstanding character by showing respect and kindness to peers and staff, acting honestly and responsibly, and serving as a positive role model. He demonstrates strong social‑emotional skills, such as self‑awareness, emotional regulation and a willingness to support classmates’ mental and physical wellness. He often listens, encourages and connects with peers.

A natural leader, Daniel volunteers for school activities, collaborates effectively in teams, helps organize group tasks and fosters inclusion so others feel welcome. His growth mindset and persistence drive him to seek extra learning opportunities and balance academics with extracurriculars responsibly. He is attentive, respectful and eager to learn, while peers appreciate his supportive nature.

After graduation, Daniel is set to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, launching his training almost immediately after leaving Arlington High School. For modeling healthy choices, empathy, resilience, and community care, Daniel is a deserving recipient of the Wellness Department’s Student of the Month award."

The Patriot Bank Student of the Month program recognizes one student in the months of September - April. One of those eight students will then be selected for a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Patriot Bank.
